The MBCN is an institution whose vocation is to provide services to the community. For all there is a limitation on human and economic resources, the Museum has made an effort to provide certain services to the general public or any official institutions that may request them for free – or almost for free. Amongst these services can be found the following: |

Service of biological and geological identification |

| The Museum identifies animal, vegetable, fungal, fossil and mineral specimens that people or institutions present. This service is free. Should the Museum not have their own assessor or collaborator who can carry out the identification, they will hand the specimen over to a specialist. In the majority of cases the consultant receives a written report within a reasonable timeframe. |

Library |

| The library collections are accessible to researchers and the general public but a prior appointment is required as there is not an actual library service. You can request photocopies at cost price apart from those of old and special collections, which require specific authorisation from the management. |

Room hire |

| The Museum has various equipped rooms which are hired out for different events such as meetings, scientific sessions, training courses, etc., providing these do not interfere with the normal running of the institution. |
