It is made up of 17,000 micropalaeontological preparations, especially of foraminifera from different sources, mainly from Balearic sites. It also has a representation of current foraminifera —largely from the Mediterranean— as well as samples prepared for study and a collection of thin film preparations.

The documentation consists of an extensive library —mainly on micropalaeontology— although it also includes numerous works on geology and general natural history, as well as collections of specialised journals; an important collection of the scientific correspondence of the collection’s owner and copies of his own works and articles; original drawings and plates of scientific and informative works on geology, micropalaeontology and natural history; photographic plates with photomicrographs; systematic and bibliographic records and field notebooks. The collection is the property of the Town Council and includes standard material.
