Research

Various lines of research are currently being carried out in collaboration with the Museum of Natural Sciences.

These studies —run by external collaborators with the institutional support of the Museum— cover different fields of natural history: faunistics and taxonomy of invertebrates, mycological flora, palaeontology, malacology, micropalaeontology, historical documentation, geological and biological cartography, among others.

Some of the studies are carried out in collaboration with other national and international institutions. Furthermore, the Museum’s scientific collection is also an essential object of study as a complementary work to its cataloguing and conservation.
